In 2023, Madagascar’s Directorate General of Customs requested TRAFFIC to develop customised training materials to strengthen the capacity of Customs officers in detecting and combating illegal wildlife trade. These modules are available in French only.

This training module has been developed under the LEMUR CWC project (Law Enforcement in Madagascar: a United Response to Combating Wildlife Crime) and the 'Voices for Diversity' (VfD) project, both implemented by TRAFFIC in Madagascar with financial support from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
